Purple rug

photo: Apartment Therapy

I love the color and style of this area rug. It's so rich, but still casual.

Untitled

I love the wood chair in the middle of this arrangement. I don't know if it's comfortable, but it's definitely beautiful.

I like this solarium made out of recycled windows. It looks neat, comfortable and potentially bug-free.

Converted church

photos: Desire to Inspire

Despite the utchiness of having a bedroom facing the dining room, I really like this converted church in the UK.

Artwork

photo: Desire to Inspire

Something about this artwork is very appealing. It really caught my eye. Not at all my usual style.

Terrarium

photo: Re-Nest

I like the look of this terrarium, although terraria aren't really my thing. I think it's the shape of the bottle and the wood and glass. Very appealing.

Love this

Check out this amazing desk created from an old piano. Before, it was a useless hulk, needing more repair than it would cost to buy a new piano. But with the clever craftsmanship of Brian Unis, it gets new life as a writing desk.

Rockin the living room

photo: Mogg Blogg

Yes, it's mock-able, but I kind of like the effect. Tribute to the stubborn nature of humans, and how adaptable we can be. Needs some cushions, though.

Kitchen in Amsterdam

I love the set-up of this kitchen. It's homey and efficient. Also really like the spice rack on the side of the fridge. I did the same thing in my kitchen, and it's so handy!

Dishtowel curtains at CasaSugar

photo: CasaSugar

This is a neat idea. Not sure how well it would work in my house, but it's an interesting way to use dishtowels.

The sheep chair

Mogg Blogg is the Television Without Pity of the design world. They've discovered, among other really bad design ideas, this sheepshead chair. Just...wow.sea

mattress spring photo holder at apartment therapy

Apartment Therapy showcases Dave and Shyla's Eclectic Loft in one of their 2009 house tours. It's a great space with some clever elements. This one really got my attention. They've used the springs from an old mattress as a photo holder above their bed. It's a clever re-use idea.

frying pan

frying pan
photo: point click home

Part of me just loves this pretty decorated frying pan. The other part wonders about the eco-ness of it all. Paint, teflon/nonstick. Is it worth it to pretty up a frying pan?

Cabinet from a mini-suitcase

Re-Nest has a trio of ideas for repurposing suitcases into cabinets (and even a bar!). They're all clever, but this one is my favorite.

Autumn leaves in recycled glass

Re-Nest showed off this trio of autumn leaves pressed in recycled glass. I love the look, and there's no better place then New England for autumn leaf preservation.

Inspired Wednesday on Tuesday

photos: Desire to Inspire

I love the mix of textures and the warm wood vs. the cool ceramic.

I adore this chair/sleigh. I can just imagine bundling up on it and being pulled along a country lane by a big bay.

Charming craft/sewing stations

The blues in this room are amazing.

Movie lover's alcove

If, like you, you love movies and watching movies in bed, you'll gasp like I did over this alcove filled with hundreds of movies. Get a fridge in there, and I'm all set.

Old theater seats as home seating at Apartment Therapy: Penny's Enchanting Home

The re-use is just icing on the charming cake.
